True Busy for You was hired as a courier for some time-critical paperwork that needed to be signed. My client's client was at the hospital with their 2 year old child and didn't really want to leave him. I was able to go to them, the paperwork was signed, and back to my client within an hour. Part of the reason I started this business was to help people so this was one of the more rewarding and unique errands I have been sent on!

One of the most exciting things True Busy for You has been hired for was to stand in line for a book signing with Emeril Lagasse. He was in town at our plaza Barnes and Noble for an afternoon and my client was unable to get away to get the signing herself. Her father is a huge Emeril fan, but lives out of town and she knew he would really appreciate the autograph. After waiting in line for a quick two hours, I finally had the pleasure of meeting Emeril myself and getting my client's book signed. BAM! - what a wonderful experience!

True Busy for You was hired to shop for some of the supplies for a carnival our client's daughter's school was having. Among things like picking up popcorn from a local theatre and picking up prizes was a rather unusual request. I was asked to go to one of the discount stores and return with 25 Beta fish. It was fun picking out the fabulous colors they come in as well as being extra careful to ensure they all arrived back at the school unharmed and ready for the carnival!

True Busy for You was hired to house sit for a woman who had a small dog. Upon meeting the client and the dog for the first time she noticed that he had been sitting on my feet the whole time we were talking which apparently is unusual for him to do. She said "I guess you're hired cause my dog has fallen in love with you!". She then proceeded to tell me that he loves fruit, especially fresh pineapple - not canned. One night on my way over to visit the dog I dropped by the local grocery store to pick up some fresh pineapple from the salad bar. The clerk was clearing everything away and told me "sorry, the salad bar is closed." I told her I only needed a few pieces of pineapple for a dog that loved it so she told me to go ahead and even went and got the container she had already put away! I have had this client for a number of years and to this day when I sit for the dog I always bring fresh pineapple with me!

True Busy for You has been hired to find unusual things in the past so when this type of opportunity comes up I embrace it. My client was looking for a present for a 10 year old boy's birthday. My instructions were to locate a "gummy snake". No problem, I knew right where to look. I came up with three choices for my client - a 12 inch gummy snake, a 12 inch snake sucker, and a 3 foot gummy snake. My client picked the 3 foot snake and apparently it was a huge hit with the birthday boy!

True Busy for You has a real estate client who we work for on a consistent basis doing anything from making sure the flyer boxes are full, installing and removing For Sale signs, shopping for supplies, and generally anything they need done. Around Halloween they were having a scavenger hunt at one of their larger properties and I was sent to the store to pick up supplies and prizes. As I am a huge Halloween fan, this task was right up my alley. They gave me a list of things to buy, but at the end of the list it said "and anything else you see that's festive". I only came back with a couple extra things. Although I was able to show restraint I told them that was a dangerous task since I love Halloween so much!

True Busy for You has a client we shop for on a regular basis. One day close to Christmas her 11 year old granddaughter was staying for a few days. I asked her if she'd like to go to the store with me and I found out they had already been talking about asking me if she could do just that. The grandmother told her to behave herself and then we were off. What my client forgot was that even though I am an adult having an 11 year old with me might be too much fun. I put her to work getting things from the shelves and we talked and giggled our way through the store. Just as we were about finished we turned the corner to an empty freezer aisle. With a cart full of groceries I asked if she wanted to race and off we went down the wide open aisle! It was fun to have somebody with me and since she worked I got her the snack of her choice and a magazine with her favorite artist Hannah Montana on the cover. When we got back to the house her grandmother asked if we had fun and we just looked at each other and laughed!

One of my earliest clients was a senior couple who had just moved into a new home. True Busy for You helped them get unpacked and put things away as well as shopping, helping get a phone situation straightened out, and taking back the cable box. One day when I arrived I found that the task for the day was to put their two seated "scooter" together. The gentleman knew how it went together, but lacked the strength to hold the pieces. After we accomplished this task he suggested we take it for a test drive around the retirement complex. It was a bright sunny day so we drove to the mail box to get the afternoon mail. I got off the scooter to get the mail and when I turned back around he was sitting in the passenger seat and asked me to drive him the rest of the way. I had no experience driving a machine such as this one, but quickly learned and we had a great time waving at the other residents!
